Organize your Twitter lists with FormUlists
Posted by: | Comments
My tool of the week is formulists.com. FormUlists lets you organize your Twitter lists, expand your network through lists and manage your followers. If you want to watch the blog post, just scroll down to the end and you can watch it on video.
First, you sign up for the tool with you Twitter login information. Once you are in the dashboard, I advise you to go first to the “Preview Lists” tab on the top right corner. In this tab, you can preview the people that you mentioned most last month, the ones that mentioned you most, the people you retweeted and the people that retweeted you most. In each of the tabs, you have the option to create a self updating list from and to send a tweet out with an @mention of the top 4 people in that list. Those tabs are great to give a bit of Twitter love to the people that mention you most and that retweeted you.
Your next stop should be the “Add Lists” tab. In here, you can add a variety of really useful lists to Twitter. With each list, you have the option to make it private or public. You also get different filters like location, maximum and minimum of followers or following.
You can organize your network into readable lists by topic. For this option, just go to “organize your network” and add the list. This part of the tool gives you the option to preview the top tags of people you follow. Try it out. It is really nice to see if you have your target audience in your Twitter community or if you need to work a bit more on that.
FormUlists lets you build lists to expand your network. You can find people like you or people like someone else on Twitter. You can find people that like to talk to people like you and you can search by topic. Again, you have a variety of filters to choose from. You can really drill down to your target audience and add them right from the list.
Other options include lists to track your followers and to customize your existing lists.
The only limitation of the tool is the number of lists you are allowed for free. FormUlists limits you to 2 free lists. If you want more than 2 lists, you can get them by referring friends to FormUlists or by buying them. When you refer a friend to FormUlists, you and the friend will each get an extra list, up to a maximum of 5 additional lists.
Go and try the new tool and find some new Tweeps to talk to. I sure enough did just that. Come by my Twitter profile too and follow me as well: @eassistantww.
Oh and a little disclaimer as well: the link to FormUlists is the link to refer a friend from me. The first 5 people that sign up through that link will get an extra list.
